About Me

Stacey WhealAt the age of fourteen I created my first website, which included an page where I posted visitors' suggested endings to an unfinished short-story. This "hobby" grew into a scholarly interest in web-design and, more specifically, an interest in the relationship between digital works and “traditional” narrative forms (literature, theatre and film) and theories.

This fall, I graduated from McMaster University with a Combined Honors B.A. in Multimedia and English. My experiences as an “Internet Trainer” at St. Marys Public Library and a teaching assistant at McMaster have enabled me to develop my teaching and design skills. I hope to study multimedia at a graduate level in the near future. For me, the ever-evolving nature of new media is a humbling and exciting reminder that no matter how much you know, there is always something to learn.
